A prospect who wants to try should not have to message you to find a slot. A trial offer shows them the classes open to trials, the conditions and, if you wish, a price. They book on their own, you follow the rest.
1. Create the offer
The Create discovery offer button opens the form. In the Identity block, give a clear name (“1 free BJJ adults class”) and a short description: these are the first words the prospect reads.
An offer stands for 1 trial class: the prospect books one session among the classes you link in step 6. Make one offer per audience if your trials differ: adults, kids, no-gi.
2. The rules
The Rules block frames what a prospect can book.
- Max bookings per prospect: set 1 to avoid double bookings. The same prospect cannot block two slots.
- Available slots per class: optional. It caps the number of trials on a single session, so the professor does not end up with five newcomers at once.
3. Moderation and rescheduling
The Moderation block decides whether you approve each request.
- Automatic approval on: the prospect gets their confirmation immediately.
- Off: the request lands in Trial class requests, and you accept or decline. The approval delay tells the prospect within how many hours they will get an answer.
The Rescheduling block lets the prospect move their booking themselves, with a minimum delay before the class and a maximum number of reschedules (0 = unlimited). Turn it on: a prospect who cannot move their slot does not show up, they vanish.
4. Practical info
The Practical info block is what saves you the messages the night before.
- Equipment lent by the academy: enable it if you lend a gi, and say what.
- Equipment to bring: sportswear, water bottle, flip-flops.
- Dress code: optional, useful for a no-gi class.
- Arrival instructions: exact address, doorbell, where to change, who to ask for.
- Additional information: the rest.
These texts are reused in the reminders sent to the prospect before the class.
5. Pricing
Leave the trial class price empty for a free trial. Enter an amount for a paid trial: the prospect pays online by card when booking, which requires a connected Stripe account.
As soon as a price is entered, two settings appear below it. The Deduct this price from the 1st subscription option refunds the trial to whoever signs up afterwards: the amount paid is automatically taken off their first subscription. It is a good argument for a paid trial.
In Accepted payment methods, tick Cash for a payment on site, Card for online payment. At least one method is required for a paid trial.
6. Link classes and save
The Linked classes block lists your recurring classes: tick the ones open to trials, or Select all to take the whole schedule. Only link classes where a beginner is welcome: not the competition class.
Save the offer publishes it. In the list, each offer’s switch enables or disables it without deleting it; disabled offers end up under See archived offers.
If the offer does not show up for prospects
Three causes, in order: the offer is inactive (switch in the list), it has no linked class (so no bookable slot), or your public page is disabled or does not show the Trial offers section. Check these three points before looking further.
