A material is a technique your students find again after class: a YouTube video, a link, a text with the steps. Attached to a session, it also becomes the way to learn what they understood, through their ratings.
1. Create a material
The Create material button opens the form: a clear title (“Triangle from closed guard”), free-text content (steps, key points), a YouTube link or an external web link, and tags.
The Reserve materials for subscribers setting, in the library settings, hides materials and videos from students without an active subscription. It is your call between a selling point and open content.
Professors also have access to the library: each can feed their own.
2. Organise with tags
A tag has a name, an automatically generated identifier, a color and an active or inactive status. A few system tags already exist and cannot be edited. The Reorder button sets the display order.
Tags by position (closed guard, half guard, back) or by theme (competition, no-gi, self-defence) are enough. They filter the library and feed your students’ fighter profile.
3. Attach a material to a class
Open the session, then Add a material in the Materials card. You can create a new material on the fly or link an existing material from the library.
Enrolled students find it in the class detail, before and after the session. This class-material link is what triggers rating.
4. Your students’ ratings
After class, every student marked present can rate the material on five criteria: Technique understood, Suits my game, Applied in sparring, Explanation well received and Difficulty, with an optional comment. A student whose attendance was not validated cannot rate: attendance gates the rating.
The Ratings screen lists rated classes with their average, then the detail per student. These ratings feed each student’s fighter profile (favourite techniques, ones to work on) and the attention board, which flags students in difficulty.
If nobody rates
Check that attendance was saved for the session, and that the material is attached to the class rather than only sitting in the library. Students see a Rate task in their To do tab until they have rated.
