A club lives: a student becomes an assistant, a professor arrives, someone has to leave. All of it happens in your member list, behind the three dots at the end of the row. Every action is confirmed, and some are irreversible: here is what each one really does.
1. Find the member
The Search field filters the list as you type. The filter button combines gender, age category, belt, status and subscription, and sorts by first name, last name, birth date, rank or join date.
The status tells where everyone stands: Validated, Pending (entered the code, not approved yet), Blocked, or Managed (an account you created, with no login).
2. Change the role
Change role offers Student and Professor. The Owner choice only appears if you are the academy’s main owner.
A professor sees their classes in their space, takes attendance and follows their group. An owner has the same rights as you on the academy: only the main owner can appoint one, and the app asks for three confirmations, because it is no small thing.
3. Block
Block cuts the member’s access to your academy: they no longer see your classes and cannot enroll. Their history stays. It is the right move for an unpaid bill or behaviour to address, because it is undone in one click with Validate.
4. Exclude
Exclude takes the member out of the academy, cancels their class enrollments and drops them from auto enrollments. The app asks for two confirmations. Their OSS Academy account is kept: they can join another club, or come back with your invitation code.
Use it only for a definitive departure. When in doubt, block.
5. Hide the student list
Some clubs prefer that members do not see who is enrolled. The Hide the student list switch, at the top of the list, keeps member listing pages for the owner and co-owners only.
Your students and professors then lose the Members tab, the Ranking, the list of people enrolled in a class and other members’ profiles. The rest of the app does not change.
If a member says they no longer see anything
Look at their status in the list first: a Blocked or Pending member sees nothing. Then check they have an active subscription, if your classes are reserved to subscribers.
