In Nantes, Moka Team 443 is not just another Moka Team club: it is the original one, the club that gave its name to a whole team whose affiliates now train from Anglet to Saint-Malo, by way of Rennes and Grenoble. A BJJ program founded in 2017, 330 members, 32 sessions a week and 5 instructors, led by Baptiste Landais, founder and head coach, 2nd degree black belt under Cicero Costha and a member of the CFJJB national team coaching staff.
It is also one of the clubs running its day-to-day on OSS Academy: licences, payments, QR code, trial classes and accounting all live on a single platform.
The Moka Team’s home club
The Moka Team 443 BJJ program was born in 2017 in Nantes. Nine years on, the club has 330 members spread across 32 weekly sessions, taught by five instructors. Three kids sections, a women’s section, a performance group: the room runs from morning to night, and the club’s name has travelled far beyond the Loire-Atlantique.
Because the Moka Team has become a team in the full sense of the word. Affiliated clubs wear its colours in Saint-Malo, Rennes, Anglet and Grenoble, and Baptiste Landais, a black belt under Cicero Costha, is its national and international reference, all the way to the CFJJB national team, where he is part of the coaching staff. On the Nantes mats, that means a high level of demand, and a home-club mindset: you train people, you pass it on, you take them with you.
Podiums at every belt
The results match the numbers. Youness Bennouali received his black belt from Baptiste and Yohan on 5 June 2026, at the end of a season at brown belt that brought him gold at the IBJJF Pans in Orlando, bronze at the Worlds in Long Beach and bronze at the European Championships. AJP World Pro champion in 2023, he holds nine French championship titles. Abdoul Israpilov, purple belt and member of the club’s France group, took third at the 2025 IBJJF European Championships. Alan Mottais, brown belt and assistant on the mats, is an IBJJF European vice-champion and 2022 French champion, and came home from the 2026 CFJJB National Championship with gold. The club also counts several other French champions among its members, and 119 IBJJF medals since 2017.
What Baptiste puts forward, though, is not one name but the collective: Moka Team 443 has finished first as a team at several Opens, and twice first as a team at the French Kids Championship. A performance group and a sport-study program, the feature the club is proudest of, prepare the next generation.
BJJ for everyone
A club of champions that only opened its doors to champions would not have 330 members. At Moka Team 443, competitors and casual practitioners share the same mats, women have their own section, and kids have three. That mix is claimed as an identity: BJJ for everyone, from the first trial class to the France group.
