In Villiers-sur-Marne, just east of Paris, FIFTY FIFTY has a motto that fits in one line: more than a club, a family. The Brazilian jiu-jitsu club opened in 2015. More than ten years on, it has passed 200 members, runs 16 sessions a week and relies on 5 black belt instructors, under president Bouba Diakité, a black belt who coaches every section himself.
It is also one of the clubs running its day-to-day on OSS Academy: attendance, plans, sign-ups and trial classes all live on a single platform.

More than a club, a family
What Bouba is proudest of is not a trophy: it is having a team that performs in competition and sticks together day to day. That family spirit runs through every level and every section of the club: kids from age 7, teens, the women-only section and adults of every belt.
In practice, a FIFTY FIFTY week counts 10 adult sessions, 4 kids sessions and 2 women-only sessions, in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and grappling. Enough to train every day, Monday to Sunday, with five black belt instructors on the adult sessions. The club is independent, and it holds the same standard for the member chasing a podium as for the one who just tied their first belt.

Lino, two-time French champion
The proof that the family can also win is called Lino Ndoumbe. In two seasons at brown belt he collected 17 medals, 12 of them gold, and 17 podium finishes. This year he became a two-time CFJJB French champion in the M1/2 division, in his weight class and in the absolute, with a record that is easy to remember: 6 fights, 6 submissions. Now a black belt, he is part of the club’s coaching staff.

A team that wins together
Lino is not an exception. The club counts champions and medallists on the CFJJB, IBJJF and FFL circuits at every belt, and its competitors train on the same mats as the beginners. Bouba himself is a black belt who teaches in every section, surrounded by a team of instructors that grew with the club.

On the mats and off them, the atmosphere does the rest: people laugh, look out for each other, and come back.

How the club uses OSS Academy
Passing the 200-member mark changes the nature of the admin work. Bouba puts it simply: he wanted to improve and industrialise how the club is run and how members are managed. That is where OSS Academy comes in.
Day to day, FIFTY FIFTY relies on the app for:
- Attendance check-in: across 16 weekly sessions, every attendance is recorded, and the club tracks member consistency without a paper roll call
- Plans: adults, women-only, kids and students, every plan is created and edited in minutes, family packs included
- The club’s public page: plans, schedule and the free trial class are online on OSS Academy, and newcomers book their first session from their phone
- A simple, solid, efficient app: for the five instructors as well as the 200-plus members, everything happens in one place
Do you run a BJJ, grappling or combat sports academy? Create your academy on OSS Academy and focus on what matters: your students.
