Optional modules

Set up a check-in tablet at the front desk (kiosk device)

Pair a tablet, choose Public or Private mode, let your students check in as they arrive and follow arrivals live from your own screen.

A tablet at the front desk shows the attendance QR code at all times: your students check in as they walk in, without the professor lifting a finger. The kiosk is an optional module and relies on the single academy QR mode.

1. On the tablet

On the app’s login page, choose Kiosk mode (front desk tablet), then Pair this tablet. The tablet shows a 6-digit pairing code. The code expires: if you are slow, Generate a new code.

The tablet is not signed in to any user account, it receives its own device authorisation.

2. In your space

In Pair a kiosk, enter the code, give it a name (“Front desk”, “Mat 1”) and pick the mode:

  • Public: facing the students. The tablet shows the attendance QR code, the trial class booking QR code if you have a trial offer, and today’s schedule. No personal data.
  • Private: for the person at the desk. The tablet shows arrivals live with name, photo and subscription.

Click Pair: the tablet switches to the chosen screen right away and stays on.

3. What the student sees

They scan the QR code shown on the device with their app. The tablet flashes Attendance validated, or Not validated, see the front desk when something blocks: no enrollment, no valid subscription, too early or too late.

The academy QR code must exist: generate it from the attendance QR screen before installing the device, otherwise the tablet shows “No academy QR code”.

4. Follow live from your own screen

Live Academy shows the same view as the private device, from your computer or phone: today’s classes, enrolled students and check-ins as scans come in. Handy to know who is already there while you are on the mat.

5. Revoke a device

In the device list, each tablet shows when it was last seen. Revoke disconnects it immediately and sends it back to the pairing screen. Do it for a lost or replaced tablet. On the tablet itself, Exit kiosk mode does the same.
