Classes

Restrict a class to subscribers and pick the products that unlock it

Require a subscription to enroll in a class, link the right products, and auto-enroll the members who belong in it.

By default, any approved member can enroll in any class. As soon as you sell different plans (kids, competitors, unlimited), you need to tell the app which product opens which class. This is set in two places that mirror each other: on the class, and on the product.

1. Turn on “Subscription required”

Open the class with Edit, or create it. In the middle of the form, the Subscription required switch decides whether an active subscription is needed to enroll.

Leave it off for a class open to every member, whatever their plan. Turn it on for any paid class: a student without a current subscription can no longer enroll.

If you turn it off on a class that had linked products, those products are detached from the class. The app reminds you before you confirm.

2. Pick the linked products

Once the switch is on, the Associated products row appears right below. It opens the list of your products.

Tick every plan that gives access to this class. A BJJ Fundamentals class typically links to the BJJ plan, the unlimited plan and the class packs. A Kids class links only to the kids plan.

In practice, a student can enroll only if they hold at least one of the ticked products. The row then reads “3 products selected” as a reminder.

The class-product link is the same in both directions. When you create or edit a product, the Classes step lists all your class rules: tick the ones the product unlocks.

Go through the product when you create a new plan and want to open it on ten classes at once. Go through the class when you add a slot and want to attach it to existing plans. The result is identical.

A product with no linked class is flagged in the product list: a student would buy it without being able to enroll anywhere.

4. Auto-enroll the members of a class

For a class with a fixed group (kids, competition team), enrolling each student in each session is a chore. Auto enrollment does it for you.

In the class list, open the three dots at the end of the row, then Manage enrollments. The screen lists the members already enrolled automatically: the cross at the end of a row removes one, the Manage auto enrollments button adds some. They will be enrolled in every newly generated session without doing anything on their side.

If a student cannot enroll

Check, in this order:

  1. Their subscription is active. An expired subscription, one awaiting payment or not yet approved gives no access. Their member card shows it at a glance.
  2. Their product is linked to the class. Open the class with Edit and look at the associated products. It is the most common cause after adding a new slot.
  3. The class is not full. If a capacity is set and reached, they can only join the waitlist.
  4. Their pack still has classes left. A used-up 10-class pack no longer gives access, even if it is linked to the class.
